Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Colorado Classical School. Can’t find your answer? We’re just a call or message away.
Classical Christian education uses the time-tested Trivium method — Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric — with faith woven through every subject. In the Grammar stage (K–5th), scholars absorb foundational knowledge through memorization, song, and story. In the Logic stage (6th–8th), they learn to reason, analyze, and think critically. Rhetoric skills are introduced in 7th–8th to develop eloquent expression and persuasive communication. Throughout every stage, scholars discover what is true, good, and beautiful through the lens of Scripture.
Colorado Classical School serves scholars in Kindergarten through 8th grade (K–8). Our program covers both the Grammar stage (K–5th) and the Logic stage (6th–8th) of the classical Trivium, providing a complete foundational education before scholars move on to high school.
Colorado Classical School is located at 7691 South University Blvd, Centennial, CO 80122. We serve families from Centennial, Littleton, Highlands Ranch, Englewood, and the greater Denver metro area. Our campus is easily accessible from I-25 and E-470.
CCS partners with families who embrace the Christian faith. We ask that at least one parent or guardian align with our Statement of Faith and that the family be in active communion with a local church. Our mission integrates the historic Christian faith into every aspect of education, and we seek families who share this vision for their children.
Read our Statement of Faith →CCS stands apart in several key ways. We use the classical Trivium method, a proven educational approach with roots stretching back centuries, rather than modern progressive pedagogy. Faith is woven through every subject, not added as a separate class. We maintain small class sizes for personalized attention. Scholars study Latin, engage with the great books of Western civilization, and participate in the fine arts. Most importantly, we focus on forming the whole child — mind, heart, and character — not just academic achievement.

Our small class sizes allow teachers to provide individualized attention and differentiated instruction. During the admissions process, we discuss each child’s unique needs to determine whether CCS is the right fit. We encourage families to be transparent about learning needs so we can best serve your child.
For significant learning differences that may require specialized services beyond what we can provide, we are happy to discuss options and make recommendations during the admissions conversation.
Our curriculum follows the classical Trivium method with faith woven through every subject. Scholars study core subjects including mathematics, language arts, history, and science, along with Latin, fine arts, music, and physical education. The great books and seminal ideas of Western civilization are central to our approach. We draw from the best classical curricula available, adapted and refined for our scholars.
Our classes have between 4–8 scholars currently, some are combination classes, and we will cap our class size at 16. This incredible student-to-teacher ratio allows for deep mastery of challenging subjects and loving, personalized attention. Teachers know each scholar individually — their strengths, challenges, and unique gifts — and tailor instruction accordingly.
A typical day at CCS begins with morning meeting and prayer, setting a peaceful and purposeful tone for the day. Scholars then engage in core academic subjects — mathematics, language arts, history, and science — taught using the classical method appropriate to their stage of development.
The day also includes Latin instruction, fine arts and music, and physical education. Learning is integrated across subjects, so scholars see connections between history, literature, science, and faith. The environment is structured, joyful, and filled with wonder.
