Board of Directors

Eric Hackett

Eric Hackett is the owner of Empire Appraisals and has worked as a residential appraiser and licensed Realtor since 2003. He and his wife, Shannon, launched MAQ Designer Homes in 2009, a home-remodeling company that reflects their shared commitment to quality craftsmanship and design. Eric’s community involvement includes five years of service as a volunteer with the Skyline Fire Department in Denver and six years as a youth soccer coach.

An entrepreneur at heart, he also recently founded SafeBox, a private storage vault located in Englewood. Eric is a dedicated athlete and father of three who competes in numerous triathlons, including the Boulder Half Ironman and the Tempe, Arizona Full Ironman. He is grateful for the faith-based education provided by Colorado Classical School and is honored to serve on its board.

Barb Ingalls

Barb’s Board leadership experience includes Denver KLIFE, almost since its inception (2005-2018). As Board Presidents (with her husband, Greg, for unprecedented repeat terms, both joint and individually), they continue to faithfully support this important south Denver youth ministry.

Additionally, the Ingalls family was among the first to enroll and invest in Cherry Creek Academy (K-8) during its 1995 inaugural year as Cherry Creek School District’s first charter school. This turned into 15 years of steady involvement until the last of their three children graduated.

Individually, Barb’s most recent volunteer passion was serving as Teaching Director for Community Bible Study (Denver Central chapter), a global, non-denominational organization dedicated to transforming lives through the Word of God.

She enjoyed a 10-year career in advertising, communications, and marketing before devoting herself to what she considers her most important work: full-time mom. During those years, Barb combined her professional training with ongoing Board service and leadership positions within the Denver non-profit community. Organizations included, most notably, the Junior League of Denver; Families First; Girls Inc of Metro Denver (Past President of both Alliances).

Greg Ingalls

Greg’s Board leadership experience includes Denver KLIFE, almost since its inception (2005-2018). As Board Presidents (with his wife, Barb, for unprecedented repeat terms, both joint and individually), they continue to faithfully support this important south Denver youth ministry.

Greg’s Board and leadership experience, meanwhile, focused largely within his chosen profession of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS). A graduate of Medical College of Georgia, 1986, Greg spent 34 years in private practice and teaching prior to his retirement, as well as a locally and nationally-known public speaker.

His notable Board and Leadership positions included: Colorado Society of OMS (Past President); Associate Professor, University of CO School of Dental Medicine & St. Joseph Hospital (30 and 10 years, respectively); Chief, Department of OMS, Lutheran Medical Center; and Delta Dental of Colorado. In alignment with his love for Grand Lake, CO, Greg has served twice on the Grand Lake Yacht Club board of directors and recently joined the advisory board of Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre.

Greg’s primary interests include reading and weekly men’s group Bible Study (continuous for 34 years). Together, Greg and Barb rejoice in the wonderful world of grandparenting, set-apart time with family, and travel. They have been married 45 years and counting.
